They did bring him back just to "redeem" him or at least have "golden boy" Falsone see he wasn't a completely bad guy. I like that in the HOMICIDE reunion movie Kellerman helped Giardello's son(who had joined the squad after he left and therefore his relationship wasn't tainted) try and find his father's killer. Also that Pembleton was confronting another cop who did deliberately murder a suspect in cold blod, this time his friend and partner Bayless.<br /><br />I didn't stop hating Jon Ceda until he played John Basilone in THE PACIFIC.
